Chapter Two: A Reborn Dream
The Light Music Club has been successfully reborn thanks to the two newcomers that volunteered to join in the club. These two members were named Sumire Saitou, and Nao Okuda. The only problem that Yui and Azusa has with them, is that they don't know what they would play. Like Yui, before, they don't know what instruments they would be playing. However, unlike Yui, they had some experience beforehand.
"What we need are a drummer and a bass," Azusa suggested. "I believe they help settle a typical four-man band."
"How about a pianist?" Yui asked.
"That's just an optional position," Azusa said. "However, drums and bass are more important."
As the four began thinking of which position they will take, Sawako showed up.
"Ah, Sawako!" Yui pointed. "You're just in time!"
"For what?" Sawako asked.
"You see, we've asked some of the new members if they have played music before," Azusa said. "Thing is, they have not such an idea of what to play."
Sawako began thinking about it over the next few minutes.
"We're trying to see if they could learn either bass or drums," Azusa said.
"I agree with you since both of you are guitarists," Sawako said. "And I believe basses are almost similar to guitars."
"What makes you say that?" Azusa asked.
"Well, they're played the same. The notes are almost the same," Sawako expressed.
"I get what you mean," Azusa said.
This somehow shocked Yui a bit.

"I'm glad she did," Azusa complimented.
"I'm glad she did," Azusa complimented.
During the start of the weekend, the reborn club went to the music store together. They decided that they'd let the kohai (underclass students) find an instrument that suits them best. Upon entry however, Sumire began thinking about the place saying that it belonged to the Kotobuki clan. This was when the shopkeeper realized her and tried to greet her.
Sumire turned around and noticed the shopkeeper. She thought that she was mistaken for a certain someone. It seems however that the shopkeeper actually met her the other day. She ignored it however, and pushed the others towards the guitar section.
Once they arrived, Yui immediately saw what looked like her guitar.
Once they arrived, Yui immediately saw what looked like her guitar.
"Giitah! (the name of Yui's guitar)," Yui shouted, and dashed towards the guitar stand that held it. "What are you doing here?!"
"Uh... Yui," Azusa said. "You know that isn't your guitar."
"But how did it get there in the first place?" Yui asked.
"It's just a new model, so stop cuddling it," Azusa said.
Sawako approached Yui.
"She's right, y'know," Sawako said.
"Oh," Yui muttered.
She let go of the guitar.
The group proceeded onwards, but Sawako saw her friends. She told Azusa that she'll meet up with them at Max Burger. Then, she left without a trace.
"Our teacher's pretty weird when it comes to her friends," Azusa said to Yui.
They proceeded onward until they saw a drum set.
"Ah!" Azusa said. "Here's a good drum set!"
Everyone's attention turned towards the set.
"Let's have Nao try it out first," Azusa said.
"Um..." Nao began. "I don't think I could."
"What do you mean?" Azusa asked.
"I don't really have that much experience on whatever instrument there is," Nao said.
"I know how that feels," Yui empathized towards Nao.
"But... I'm willing to give it a try," Nao said.
"Good. We're gonna need it," Azusa said.
Nao sat herself down on the seat. She grabbed the two drumsticks that were neatly positioned on a nearby convenient drumstick holder. She tried playing it, but instead, what she did was throw one stick up above, and then catch it.
"I guess not," Azusa moaned. "Sumire, wanna give it a try?"
"I'm not sure, but okay..." Sumire said, as she swapped positions with Nao.

"I'm not sure, but okay..." Sumire said, as she swapped positions with Nao.
"Just relax, Sumire," Azusa said. "and don't rush. All I want you to do is hit the hi-hat, or the right cymbal which is next to you, and the snare, which is next to the two cymbals next to each other."
After Sumire took some breaths, she began playing in some... indescribable manner. However, Azusa was impressed at the end. It also made the situation better now that Sumire felt this feeling within her that instruments are fun to play with. With all that said, Azusa decides to check the price tag, only for it to cost 98,000 yen.

"Aw..." Azusa said. "I forgot that instruments don't come out cheap."
Feeling depressed, the group left the drum set behind, until Azusa remembered something.
"Wait a sec..." Azusa said. "I remember the last time I was here."
She then turned towards Yui.
"Yui..." Azusa said.
Yui nodded, and went straight to the shopkeeper. Upon approaching the shopkeeper, the shopkeeper wasn't too happy to see Yui.

As Yui tried to leave the counter, she bumped towards another student carrying a bass.
"Do watch where you're going," the bassist said.
Yui proceeded onward, and returned to Azusa and the others.
"Mission failed!" Yui said.
"What do you mean?" Azusa said.
"He won't accept any discounts for me anymore," Yui said.
"Dammit..." Azusa said. "Even with Sumire in hand, I don't think he'll fall for that trick."
"Maybe we should just pull back for now," Yui said.
"I agree," Azusa said. "We'll need to figure it out. Though aren't we forgetting something else?"
"A bass?" Yui asked.
"Yep," Azusa said. "But Nao, I believe doesn't even know how to play the guitar. And Sumire seems happy with drums."
"Let's just leave," Yui said.

They returned to school after the weekend where they discussed about the drum set.
"I believe the reason why there's none here as of now is because Ritsu owns the drum set," Azusa said.
"I dunno about how she got it, but that's her case, and not ours," Nao spoke back.
"Speaking of, how will we earn money for that drum kit?" Sumire asked.
Sawako showed up holding an envelope.
"Ah, Sawako!" Yui said. "You're just in time!"
Sawako walked towards them, and presented Azusa the envelope. Azusa opened it and saw 500,000 yen inside.
"Isn't this..." Azusa began.
"This is the club funds we haven't used since last year," Sawako stated.
"I thought we were to keep quiet about this," Azusa said.
"Well, you can say this is for only emergency situations," Sawako said.
"Okay," Azusa said. "You be the one to purchase the drum kit."
"Right," Sawako said.
Sawako grabbed the envelope back and went towards the door.
"Oh, by the way..." Sawako said, turning her back. "I also got a surprise for you."
She opened the door and standing outside was a student carrying a bass.
"That's..." Yui began. "That face is familiar! I know it!"
