Chapter One: The New Term
April began with a set of sakura petals flying across the school of Sakuragaoba. Today marked a start of the new school year, and that meant new students would be welcomed by the older students. The new students were given a unique ribbon that had three different colors that change, and then repeat over. There was the blue ribbon (which was being given this year), the red ribbon (the one that Azusa Nakano got), and the green ribbon (which was given last year).
Speaking of Azusa, we see Azusa standing in front of the door leading to the insides of the school. However, amid all this, Yui somehow, was hiding, and began ambushing Azusa (via hugging) at the right moment.
"Yui-senpai!" Azusa choked.
"Ohayou, Azu-nyan! (Good morning, Azu-nyan!)" Yui replied. "Ready to start the new term?"
"You're always excited, I could tell," Azusa said back.
The two went onwards to read the school board which would contain a list of which class the students would be placed at. Since Yui decided to stay at high school for one more year, this would mean Yui would be placed back at Class 3. Luckily, both of them would be together in the same class. Their class, was Class 3-2. On the other hand though...
"Onee-chan! (Big sister!)" shouted a familiar voice.
It was Ui Hirasawa, Yui's imouto (little sister).
"We're not gonna be on the same class!" Ui cried, pointing to the board containing her name. "Same goes with Jun!"
Yui felt a little sad about that.
"It's okay, Ui," Yui said. "If you wanna hang out with me, just come along if you have spare time."
"I will," Ui said.
"Yui-senpai!" Azusa choked.

Yui and Azusa proceeded onward towards their class. Upon arrival, they noticed a whole group of students gathered around talking about a rumor that Yui has decided to stay behind for one more year.
"Um..." Azusa silently muttered.
The two proceeded onward to their desks (they would be seated next to each other), pretending they didn't see the group. Unfortunately, when they sat down, the group was about to return to their seats, when they saw the two. In just seconds, the students began squeeing so loud, you can't even block that with headphones that has it's volume setting at the maximum.
"Oh crap..." Yui and Azusa said.

Once the class ended, Yui and Azusa went upstairs to the music room, where they would be just two at the soon-to-be disbanded Light Music Club.
"Yui-senpai," Azusa began.
"Just call me Yui," Yui said back.
"Um..." Azusa continued. "Yui, because we no longer have Mugi-senpai, I think we should seriously focus on practicing."
"I'll miss Mugi-chan's cake," Yui moaned.
"I know," Azusa replied. "I'll just be the one to buy you instead."
Yui smiled. Azusa smiled back.
The two entered the room and noticed that Mugi-chan's teaset was still there. However, they noticed a student trying to pull the cupboard containing the teaset.
"Um..." Azusa began. "Excuse me, but are you trying to pull the cupboard?"
The student shrieked in fear.
"I've been spotted!" the student screamed.
"Woah!" Azusa said. "Calm down. Tell me..."
This was when Yui noticed a familiar ribbon.
"Hey, Azu-nyan!" Yui began.
"What is it?" Azusa replied.
"Look at the outfit she's wearing!" Yui responded. "She must be a student from here."
"You're right, Yui," Azusa said. "I see a blue ribbon, like yours."
"Um..." the student began. "What do you guys want from me?"
"We just wondered why were you trying to take away the teaset of Mugi-senpai," Azusa continued.
"Mugi-senpai?" the student continued. "How did you know her?"
"Oh, she makes tea for us!" Yui said. "She's our pianist of the club, who brings us fancy tea and snacks, and-"
"I think that's enough," Azusa said.
"Tea... Cakes..." the student began.
She opened the cupboard and took out the tea set, and began doing something with it. Minutes later, she came back with brewed tea and a nice plate of strawberry shortcake. Yui and Azusa, dazed and confused, decided to have some of the student's tea and cake that she provided. However, they didn't notice Sawako was there as well.

The two girls asked about who the student was, beginning with her name.
"My name?" the student replied. "My name's... S-s-sumire Saitou."
"My name?" the student replied. "My name's... S-s-sumire Saitou."
"So your name's Sumire, huh?" Yui began. "You look a little familiar."
Azusa turned towards both.
"You're right, Yui," Azusa said. "I mean, she's got blonde hair, and blue eyes... Where have I seen--"
However... things got disrupted all because Sawako suddenly popped out holding a maid dress, and wanting to use Sumire to dress her up.

Azusa wasn't pleased with what Sawako just did.
"Ugh, Sawako..." Azusa moaned. "What the hell did you do that for?"
"I'm so sorry," Sawako pleaded. "I couldn't resist the urge to do such."
"She's a new student here," Azusa said. "She doesn't know what kind of a teacher are you."
Sawako sighed.
"Plus, she could've been an addition to our members," Azusa continued.
"That reminds me..." Sawako interrupted. "You're short on two members. If you don't find two that you can add, say goodbye to this club."
Azusa got mad.
"SHE WOULD'VE JOINED IF YOU HAD NOT DID THAT!!" Azusa yelled.
"I'M SORRY!!" Sawako shouted.

The next day, Sumire showed up again in the Light Music Club. She was gonna attempt to take the tea set once again, only to be spotted by Yui and Azusa.
"EEK!" Sumire shrieked.
"Calm down," Yui said. "Sawa-chan ain't around to wear something really embarrassing."
"Wait," Sumire began. "You know that person?"
"She's our facilitator here," Yui said. "You might get used to her antics, but I don't think she's around."
"Guess again," some familiar voice echoed.
Suddenly, Sumire looked back, and saw Sawako, with her usual freaky look. This scared Sumire again, forcing her to run away.
"Sawa-chan!" Azusa yelled.
"What?" Sawako gave a shrug. "I got the animal costumes."
"That crap's ten times worse than a maid outfit!" Azusa shouted back.
"So sorry," Sawako said.
"Ugh..." Azusa said. "Yui, let's just leave. We got the Oriental Ceremony ahead of us..."
"Okay!" Yui said.
The two left Sawako behind.
They moved on to the multi-purpose hall where they found several first year students that were all wondering what the clubs will present. By then, it was their turn already. The two went up on stage, but not before discussing what they might play first.
In the end, the two went on stage, and Yui gave her introductory speech, before they played their songs.

In the end, Yui and Azusa decided not to go back to the club, but instead, they distributed their brochures for the Light Music Club. Although they only managed to hand out very few to the students, they admitted that doing this without Sawako's help was much better.
When they were done, they returned to the Light Music Club where Sawako was nowhere to be seen. Azusa thought she went back to her normal self. This was when they saw another student named Nao Okuda.

"Oh," the student began. "I just wanted to join the club."
Yui and Azusa looked at each other, and then, they all got excited. The two immediately charged towards Nao and began cuddling them.
"Hey!' Nao began.
Then, Sumire returned again back at the scene. Azusa turned around.
"Ah, Sumire!" Azusa began. "You don't have to worry about that Sawa-baka (idiot)."
"Really?" Sumire said. "If so, I think I wanna join your club."
"If you want to, then join us!" Yui and Azusa said.
Sumire smiled as she joined Yui and Azusa in cuddling each other.
